For over 20 years, Cayman Weddings under the directorship of Vernon and Francine Jackson have been performing weddings for visitors from all over the globe, as well as Cayman residents. The couple, who are both marriage officers have 5,552 weddings to their credit, with many others performed by marriage officers who work with them.

In 1985, having retired from a senior civil service position, Vernon established “Cayman Weddings” with the intention of coordinating weddings for visitors and performing ceremonies for local people. They were the first local company to be established as wedding planners, and remain the premier wedding planning company in the Cayman Islands. Francine joined him a few years later, and ten years ago they were joined by daughter Joy Basdeo. Cayman Weddings now has three marriage officers on staff.

Vernon and Francine Jackson, married for almost 55 years are the heart of Cayman Weddings. Their generous spirits and sweet dispositions calm even the most anxious bride. The Jacksons have a quality which endears them to their couples, and which have turned “clients” into “friends” all over the world, they genuinely care about what they do, and as far as they are concerned every wedding is a special day.

Many also spend time pouring over their choice of a special wedding ceremony, or gleaning ideas for their own wedding from the hundreds of pictures on the office walls.

The Jacksons receive hosts of cards and letters from couples they have married, many of whom return years later to have a “wedding renewal ceremony” performed. Many of their clients are referred by friends who have attended or had their wedding ceremony performed by Cayman Weddings.

“We recently performed the third of three marriages within one family, and we were happy to see the parents and grand-parents visiting for the third time on another happy occasion.”, says Francine. Cayman Weddings has performed ceremonies for couples from all over the world, including Europe, Asia and Australia, but most of their couples come from the USA.

Some European countries require an apostile as well as a marriage certificate, and this is also arranged by the wedding planners.
